Johanna Finlay and George Warren both arrived in Van Diemen’s Land (Tasmania) as convicts; George in 1830 from England and Johanna in 1836 from Glasgow, Scotland. They married on 23 November 1840 in Longford, Tasmania and had two children, George and Elizabeth.

It is unknown when George Warren died, however by 1847 Johanna had either remarried or was in a de facto relationship with Daniel Wenn, who had arrived in Tasmania as a convict in 1835.

The children of Johanna and Daniel include:

  • Sarah Wenn (1848 – 1851)
  • Daniel Wenn (1849 – 1927)
  • Johanna Wenn (1851 – 1910)

Johanna’s story begins with her brother, Archibald, being transported to Australia.
